Working Paper Series 9: Food and Nutritional Security Policies in Brazilian Municipalities

The Working Paper 9 titled “Food and Nutritional Security Policies in Brazilian Municipalities,” authored by Eryka Galindo, Veruska Prado Alexandre-Weiss, and Silvia Aparecida Zimmermann, has been published.

The publication synthesizes discussions from the activity “Food and Nutritional Security Policy at the Municipal Level: Context and Opportunities,” held during the V National Meeting of Research on Food and Nutritional Sovereignty and Security (V ENPSSAN, 2022). The document highlights the importance of municipalities in implementing Food and Nutritional Security (SAN) policies and identifies eight approaches to enhance research on SAN in the municipal context, as well as discussing challenges and opportunities to strengthen these policies in Brazil.
