Online Seminar Series in Food Policy and Governance: European Farmer Protests and Interest Groups

The Food Policy and Governance Research Network announced its first-ever Online Seminar Series. Scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 30th, from 14:00 to 15:30 BST / 15:00 to 16:30 CEST, this series seeks to delve into the complexities surrounding European Farmer Protests and Interest Groups.

The forthcoming session will provide significant insights into farmer protests through presentations by esteemed scholars such as Renata Motta, Birgit Peuker, Judith Müller, Lea Zentgraf, and Jeroen Candel. Here are some of the topics that will be covered in the seminar:

  • Farmer Protests in Germany: Empirical Findings by Renata Motta, Birgit Peuker, Judith Müller and Lea Zentgraf
  • Farmer Protests and the Demise of the Farm to Fork Strategy by Jeroen Candel

The seminar series invites attendees to engage in scholarly dialogue, exchange research findings, and contribute to the collective understanding of food policy and governance issues.

To participate, those with an interest in researching food policy and governance issues must register for the event. Registration is mandatory but only needs to be completed once for access to the entire series. A MyECPR account is necessary for registration. Once registered, all seminars will be automatically included in the participant’s itinerary, accessible through My Events in My ECPR. A link to join each session will be provided in the itinerary 15 minutes before its scheduled start time.
