YouTube: Alimento para Justiça: Poder, Política e Desigualdades Alimentares na Bioeconomia (Parte 1)
In order to debate issues such as food security, the right to food, and food systems, it is important to think of food production, distribution and consumption as political relationships, mediated by power and inequalities, and to decentre the subject of these relationships, considering its social position in terms of social class, gender, race, ethnicity, citizenship, urban-rural spatiality, as well as the human-nature relationship. This discussion aims to understand the disputes of social actors in order to transform the agri-food system towards a more ecological, just and democratic system.
