Birgit Peuker comments on a possible infiltration of the German farmers’ protests

In an article published by the research collective Correctiv, Birgit Peuker and other researchers comment on the possibility of infiltration of the agricultural protests that took place in Germany last winter. An instrumentalization of the farmers’ anger and distress cannot be ruled out, not only by external actors but also by actors from the organizational level. At the same time it is stated in the article: “But this does not mean that all farmers, truck drivers and other demonstrators who were on the streets around the farmers’ protests are right-wing extremists or conspiracy ideologues.”
