V ENPSSAN

Between June 6 and 10, our researchers Marco Antonio Teixeira and Eryka Galindo participated in the online event “V Encontro Nacional de Pesquisa em Soberania e Segurança Alimentar” (“5th National Research Meeting on Food Sovereignty and Security”, V ENPSSAN).

Marco Antonio Teixeira co-organized an activity on June 6 on “Políticas de Segurança alimentar e nutricional no âmbito municipal: contexto e oportunidades” (“Food Security Policies at the Municipal Level: Background and Opportunities”), presenting the food security agenda scenario in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. On June 9, Eryka Galindo gave a presentation on “Alimentação e a situação da segurança alimentar no Brasil em tempos de pandemia: um olhar sobre condicionantes socioeconômicos, políticos e sanitários” (“Nutrition and food security in Brazil in times of pandemic: a look at socioeconomic, political and health conditioning factors”).

The event was organized by the Rede Brasileira de Pesquisa em Soberania e Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional (Rede PENSSAN) and the Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA).
