Article “A luta das Margaridas” in Folha de S. Paulo

Marco Antonio Teixeira, Eryka Galindo and Renata Motta, together with Mazé Morais, Contag’s Women’s Secretary and national coordinator of the Marcha das Margaridas from 2019 and 2023, have written an article about the Marcha das Margaridas 2023.

The March is a mobilization held on August 15 and 16, which brings together more than 150,000 women from all over Brazil in Brasilia. Led by women from the countryside, forest and water, the March is a significant event for agrarian and food policies in Brazil, addressing crucial issues such as hunger, territorial threats, violence and inequalities, while seeking solutions for a just socio-ecological transformation.
